Portable monitor from a scrapped laptop
Laptop LCD, an LCD controller board and speakers from a karaoke machine, fitted into the original chassis
The finished monitor: the laptop's screen with the salvaged speakers set into a plywood base
The laptop was saved from my grandparents' trash for a Wii-laptop idea that didn't fit. Instead I found a matching LCD controller board, pulled speakers from my sister's old karaoke machine, and fitted everything back into the laptop shell as a portable monitor.
